Mohan Bhagwat is an Indian social leader and the current Sarsanghchalak (chief) of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a prominent cultural and volunteer organization in India. He became the sixth chief of the RSS in 2009, succeeding K. S. Sudarshan. Born on 11 September 1950 in Chandrapur>, Mohan Bhagwat comes from a family closely associated with the RSS. He studied veterinary science at Government Veterinary College, Nagpur> but later dedicated his life to full-time social and organizational work within the RSS. As Sarsanghchalak, he plays a major role in guiding the organization’s ideological direction, social initiatives, and national discussions on culture, education, and social unity. Under his leadership, the RSS has expanded its outreach programs in areas such as social service, rural development, education, and community engagement.
