Mohan Bhagwat is an Indian social leader and the current Sarsanghchalak (chief) of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a prominent cultural and volunteer organization in India. He became the sixth chief of the RSS in 2009, succeeding K. S. Sudarshan. Born on 11 September 1950 in Chandrapur>, Mohan Bhagwat comes from a family closely associated with the RSS.
